Takes ownership for creating and validating a set of standards and establishing protocols around regular field checks, insect, weed & disease monitoring and diagnostics, soil moisture status monitoring, irrigation scheduling, seed recommendations, soil sampling, and crop rotation planning. The manager agronomist will provide personal consultation with farmers as needed and delivering educational or promotional presentations as needed.
Required Experience and Education
At least 3 years Agronomist or farm experience.
Extensive knowledge in plant and soil science and planting crops.
Proficient in mapping and geographic analysis application.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Written and spoken Chinese and English required.
Able to work in an office environment and use office tools, e.g. MS office products.
Strong knowledge of key players in the organic agriculture sector at national, regional conservation/community development community an advantage.
